Our collaborative manuscript with Dr. Nick De Lay on the subject of sRNAs and resistance to zinc toxicity in the pneumococcus is accepted by PLoS Pathogens!

This paper describes collaborative work on an emerging topic that describes a new intersection of sRNAs and metal homeostasis. The work originated with the De Lay group at University of Texas Health Science Center Houston, and involved Malcolm Winkler’s group here at IU and my group. Max Osterberg and QCB trainee Abigail Garrett in the Winkler group are co-authors on this paper. Congratulations to Max and to Abigail!! This is peer-reviewed paper #200 by Prof Giedroc, a significant milestone!
