Max’s paper describing the Zn(II) coordination chemistry, G-nucleotide-induced folding and extensive hydrogen-deuterium exchange-mass spectrometry (HDX-MS) of the bacterial COG0523 enzyme, Acinetobacter baumannii ZigA, is accepted today in Biophysical Journal. Happy birthday Max! Congratulations also to our collaborators Tim Stemmler (Wayne State) and Daniel Deredge (University of Maryland Baltimore).

The Capdevila, Giedroc and Dalia groups have published the first study on persulfide sensing and thiol persulfide profiling in the gut pathogen, Vibrio cholerae. A comprehensive sequence similarity network (SSN) analysis of arsenic repressor (ArsR) superfamily is also reported here, which will be very useful to others in the field.  Congratulations to Daiana and members of her team (Cristian and Giuliano) for driving this work to completion.
